Bahamas Minister of Tourism approved 2 casino developing applications.

2 Bahama Casinos Approved

Bahamas Minister of Tourism approved 2 casino developing applications.

The Bahamas Minister of Tourism Obie Wilchcombe approved Baha Mar Cable Beach Resorts and Pinnacle Entertainment application to develop casinos.

Pinnacle Entertainment planned to start its project already in April 2005. Despite the delay caused by the approval process, the investors were very excited about the project being finally approved. In 2004, Pinnacle Entertainment signed a deal with Emerald Bay Resort to sublease its property and to run a 5,000 square foot casino with an investment of 5 million dollars.

According to Minister Wilchcombe, Baha Mar is dedicated to the renovation of the Wyndham Nassau Resort on Cable Beach. The minister said that Baha Mar has a secure financial backing and is ready to start with the construction work. Baha Mar will collaborate with Starwood Hotels and Resorts and Harrahs Entertainment for the 1.6 billion dollars casino hotel at Cable Beach.
