AOL opens a new Blackjack area where people can win a seat at the World Series of Blackjack.

AOL, in association with GSN, the Network for Games, is planning to open a new blackjack area at AOL website. The opening is planned for April. The area will feature online blackjack games, tips and suggestions from professionals and live broadcasts from World Series of Blackjack, a televised blackjack tournament organized by GSN. Starting January 19, people can enter AOL Blackjack area and sign up to get a chance to win a free seat at the World Series of Blackjack with a million dollars prize pool that will take place this June.

The World Series of Blackjack will come in the format of TV show consisting of 13 one-hour episodes that will be televised weekly at AOL and cable TV channels.

From January 19 to February 8, eight people will win eight-day/seven-night trips to Las Vegas where they will participate in a qualifying tournament for the World Series of Blackjack. Two winners of the qualifying tournaments, along with 38 other players will participate the World Series of Blackjack tournament this June and will fight for 500,000 dollars first prize and the same sum in other prizes.

Apart form opening a new Blackjack area, AOL has partnered with Harrahs Entertainment and will also open a poker area with free poker games and a chance to win a free seat at the World Series of Poker events.

Another new section at AOL is AOL Vegas, a section dedicated to Las Vegas casinos, gambling games, gambling trips planning and original programming.

AOL Games section provides useful information on PC, console and online games and offers its visitors to play over 150 free online games.
