Boyd Gaming Corporation announced Friday signing an agreement with AEG Live. According to the agreement, AEG Live will produce and present shows from Boyd Gaming Echelon Place resort on the Las Vegas Strip. Echelon Place is currently under development and it is planned to include to major entertainment venues.
The music and entertainment division of AEG will manage two entertainment venues at Echelon Place: the 4,000 seat theatre and 1,500 seat performance venue. AEG is one of the leading operators of live sports and entertainment events in the world. The company currently owns and operates several major entertainment venues around the world such as The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas and more.
Bob Boughner the president of Boyd Gamings Echelon Resorts said that entertainment has played a major role in the evolution of Las Vegas as a leading tourist destination. He added that AEG is recognized as leading entertainment company.
John Meglen, President and Co Chief Executive Officer of the Touring and Special Events division of AEG Live said that the company is excited to extend its presence in Las Vegas market. He added that signing up with Boyd Gaming enables the company to take part in the next generation of Las Vegas entertainment.
