Low-cost airline planning to offer in-flight gambling in the near future.Ryanair In-Flight GamblingLow-cost airline planning to offer in-flight gambling in the near future. The most popular low-cost flights airline in Europe, Ryanair Holding PLC, plans to partner with a gambling company in the near future, in order to offer in-flight gambling in their planes. Ryanairs plans to make their planes flying Las Vegas are not concrete yet. They have only announced that the initial plan is to give away around 50 percent of its seats on a flight to In-Flight Gambling passengers. Currently, 25 percent of Ryanair planes seats are free due to their promotions. The company wanted to generate income out of in-flight gambling, and they wanted to begin with in-flight blackjack. However, so far, technology has not made it possible. Besides, the company still needs to find the way to get players to pay. So far, only speculations have been brought up, and the company does not know yet how their plan would work. The idea is to offer something innovative in the market, as well as make up for the lost fares. Arran Aerospace consultant Doug McVitie says though that revenues generated from in-flight gambling are not the solution for this problem.
