Play the Red Dog

Red Dog Poker is played on a Blackjack style table. Unlike most poker games the player is not playing against the other players or even the dealer. A Red Dog Poker player only plays against their cards.

Red dog poker is not played like any other Poker game. The object of Red Dog Poker is to determine if the value of your 3rd card will fall between the 1st 2 cards. The distance between the 1st 2 cards in Red Dog Poker is called the Spread. If the 1st 2 cards are a 5 and a King the spread would be 7 because there are 7 cards between the 5 and the King. The spread determines the payoff for a winner the lower the spread the higher the payoff.

The first thing a Red Dog poker player does is place his starting bet, and then the dealer deals the player 2 cards. The card with the lowest value will go on the left and the highest value on the right. The player now has the choice to raise the bet or continue with the bet as it stands. If the 3rd card falls between the values of the 1st 2 cards the player wins, and if not the Casino wins.

In the event that the 1st 2 cards dealt in Red Dog Poker are consecutive the hand is a bust and is re-dealt, if the 1st 2 cards are the same the hand is a bust, but the 3rd card is still drawn and if it is the same as the 1st 2 the player wins 11 times his original bet.
